Our Own "Good" - The Way It Goes

Less than 12 hours after I wrote an article (see A Dark Glimpse Into The
Future) about a Federal Taskforce made up of only bureaucrats and radical
environmental groups establishing statewide "Principles" for tree harvesting
I am receiving slings and arrows of criticism.  Essentially I am a blowhard
for criticizing a "Diverse" Taskforce without reading their "Principles".
Well brother, here's a newsflash for you; it doesn't matter what the
"Principles" say, in fact the more mundane they may be (as opposed openly
radical) THE WORSE it is.

When Federal and State bureaucrats and these radical groups (with hidden
agendas in the form of anti-resource use and management to the elimination
of rights from those of traditional cultural uses of renewable resources and
property rights and the presence of humans and human activities throughout
rural America utilizing government kickbacks in the form of tax breaks and
grants and power-sharing to propagandize urban funding sources and the young
of this nation) are the decision makers about how the rest of us will live,
THAT is the problem!  So they are "wise" and their "Principles" are lauded,
where have we heard that before?

Lenin and Trotsky proclaimed they were doing "it" to free the peasants and
level society.  Hitler was doing it to save Germany and German culture.
Mugabe was doing it to make everyone equal.  Mao was doing it to free the
people.  The "Great Leaders" in North Korea and Iran and Venezuela are doing
it today even as I write.  What is "it"?

"It" is not some 1930's flapper, "it' is seizing power for your own
purposes.  Always, always it is originally clothed in high-sounding rhetoric
about wonderful goals that only mask the perfidy of the real objectives.
This is always the way it goes.

The United States of America, with all it's flaws and imperfections, is
still the greatest model of fallible mankind's attempt to found a society
that protects the rights and freedoms that it (originally) proclaimed came
not from man but from the "Creator".  Condemn capitalism and racism and
sexism as we should but we must admit that our Bill of Rights and the
protection of property are every bit as important as the (former?) concepts
of State's Rights, a limited central government, and the division of Federal
power in three branches -and NO, the Federal bureaucracy IS NOT AND WAS

 NOT one of those branches.

We should fear the power of any central government; just look fairly at the
genesis of all those I mentioned above.  We should especially fear a GROWING
(dollar-wise and power-wise) central government.  We should do what the
Founding Fathers did when we see a growing central government under the sway
of such radical segments of society and rally together to protect our
threatened freedoms.  We should be outraged at a "free press" that bathes
this in crooning about how they are "Diverse" and how wonderful it is to
have such an elite to lead us.

This is America, not Germany in 1933.  Groups like this and the newspapers
that encourage this business have more in common with the Nuremberg Rally
and Leni Reifenstall than with than the Constitutional Convention and Alexis
de Tocqueville.

The make-up of that "Taskforce" and the treatment it received fro the press
and the characterization of its' work should send a chill down every spine.
It is just the latest of many "wake-up" calls that we truly ignore at our
own peril.
