Yurok
Tribe district election results in

KLAMATH
— The unofficial Yurok election results are in for two contested seats
on the Tribal Council.
In
the East District, incumbent Lyle L. McKinnon beat challenger Susan
Masten, claiming 53.23 percent of 310 votes, and in the South District
Dale Ann Frye Sherman beat Christopher H. Peters for an open seat,
securing 64.29 percent of 322 votes.
The
results will not be official until the Yurok Election Board meets on
Nov. 13 to certify the election.
A
third seat in the Pecwan District was retained by incumbent Richard
Myers who ran unopposed.
