Citizen Comment Forum on Dam Removal and KBRA

November 10, 2009  @ Klamath County Fairgrounds Event Center

Two session: 1 PM TO 4 PM  AND   6 PM TO 9 PM

Hosted by Rep. Garrard, Rep. Gilman and Sen. Whitsett

On November 10, 2009 the Klamath County Legislative delegation will host a forum for citizen comment on the Draft Agreements on dam removal and the KBRA at the Klamath Fairgrounds Event Center.

The forum is being provided in response to many months of requests that all citizens that will be impacted by the draft agreements be given an opportunity to publicly express their support or opposition.

The forum is designed to provide citizens with a venue to express what they do know as well as to discuss what they do not know about the draft agreements.

Your Legislators are providing the forum to listen to citizen concerns. They will neither be commenting on the draft agreements nor answering questions.

The forum format will provide an open microphone.

Those who wish to speak will be asked to sign a request to speak card. The order of speakers will be established by random selection of those signed cards.

Each participant will be allowed from three to five minutes to speak. The time allotted will be determined by the number of requests to speak.

All speakers and other attendees are encouraged to provide signed written testimony.

Documentation of the testimony is strongly encouraged.

The entire proceeding will be recorded on DVD.

The Legislative delegation will make the compiled testimony and DVD available to elected officials, government agency decision makers and to the media.
