Description

The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Mid-Pacific Region, intends to issue a cooperative agreement to California Polytechnic State University pursuant to the authority of Public Law 85- 624 Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, 16 U.S.C. 661 et seq., as amended. Reclamation’s specific objectives are to provide an effective interface between the Project Irrigation Districts and water users with a non biased academic interface between Reclamation and the Irrigation Districts. The cooperative agreement would assist the Water user districts (including the Wildlife Refuges) to receive water supplies and as such enhance or maintain fish and wildlife habitat, by developing water conservation and deliver methods that will ensure equitable distribution of the water available to Project operations. Developing and maintaining operational efficiencies of Project operations allows for current and projected future realignment of available water supplies to species habitat improvement requirements associated with main stem anadramous fisheries stock and Upper Klamath Lake sucker habitat. .
