The deadline to appeal a Klamath
County ballot measure related to the KlamathBasin Restoration Agreement
passed without any objections.
Monday was the final day for
Klamath County residents to file an appeal against the advisory
election, which will ask Klamath County voters the followingquestion: “Should Klamath
County, one of the participants in the Klamath Basin Restoration
Agreement (KBRA), discontinue its participation in the agreement?”
The vote will be advisory,
meaning it will only gauge public opinion
and will not be legally binding, though Klamath County commissioners
have said they would consider removing the county from KBRA
discussions if that’s what county voters desire.
