County plans
facilitated water meeting
The Klamath County Board of Commissioners hopes to
have a facilitated meeting about the proposed Klamath Basin Restoration
Agreement in the next week or two.
Commissioner Al Switzer said a facilitator was found
to work with the Klamath Tribes and on-Project and off-Project Basin
irrigators, but a list of who will represent the three groups has yet to
be finalized.
The board voted to organize the meetings to try to
settle disputes among the three groups about the proposed agreement.
Switzer said he will push to have the meeting as early
as next week so any possible progress can be made soon.
“These people need to get together and work it
out,” he said.
