Grant funding goes to wetland restoration in Basin

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Deputy Region 10 Administrator Ron Kreizenbeck presented a grant award totaling almost $800,000 to representatives of recipient organizations Sept. 7 during a ceremony at the Wayne Ranch on the Sprague River


   The site will receive funding from the EPA to remove levees, restoring former wetlands. The Klamath Basin Rangeland Trust is the lead partner on the project. 


   Nine Klamath Basin restoration and enhancements projects will be funded through the grant.
