KBRA is a first-time positive agreement
Klamath Falls Herald and News
Letter to the Editor
October 7, 2010
I’ve lived in
Klamath County for over 60 years as a cattle rancher.
The Klamath Basin
Restoration Agreement represents the first time in my
life that there’s been a positive agreement over water.
It brought together
over 40 diverse groups to solve some major issues in
this community. The KBRA is absolutely the first such
agreement.
The people who are
negative to this agreement have not come up with a
positive approach to water settlement.
I’m excited that the
Tribes, agricultural community and conservation groups
are all trying their best to solve the water issues in
this positive way.
We need our county
government to stay involved no matter how you feel about
the agreements. Vote no on 18-80 and
keep local control for Klamath County.
