Keep control local; vote against
18-80

Klamath County Measure 18-80 is
about local representation and local control regarding our natural
resources and businesses. Read 18-80: Do not let somebody else
“interpret” for you.
Measure 18-80 is not about
saving dams. It is about either giving away or keeping your elected
voice in discussions regarding the future of the dams. A “no” vote
keeps our representation at the table.
The proponents of 18-80 want you
to give up your constitutional right to representation by your
elected Klamath County commission. Conservative, liberal, or
independent, do not let those with patriotic sounding names deceive
you into giving up your rights.
A yes vote on 18-80 will leave
the fate of the Klamath Hydroelectric Settlement Agreement in the
hands of those whom we do not elect. The last thing that those of us
that are dissatisfied with bureaucratic and unresponsive government
should be doing is taking our representation away from controversial
discussions. The last thing we need to do is to give representation
and control away. The last thing we need to do is follow those that
were at the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement and Klamath
Hydroelectric Settlement Agreement table, and gave up representing
their constituents when negotiations were hard. Vote no on 18-80.
Keep local control.
