Keep progress going by
commissioner vote
Klamath Falls Herald and News
Letter to the Editor
October 2, 2010
People, we’ve made some
progress: the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement has shown that
local folks of widely divergent views can come together in
agreement for the good of the whole.
Some movement is taking
place in city/county relationships, and on school issues. What
we need to do is keep this moving forward, probably without
“magic bullets,” but with steady, thoughtful progress.
This is exactly the kind of
effort in which Kirk Oakes excels. He listens to all and then
brings thoughtful and creative solutions forward and is prepared
to implement them.
The local candidates
appearing in the big Republican ad in Saturday’s paper all want
to take us back. Back to bickering and negativity, standoffs and
stonewalling.
Think outside the box. Don’t
be put back in the box of tired old failed ideas and negativism.
Please vote for Kirk Oakes
for Klamath County commissioner.
