The Oregon Supreme Court will
be in Klamath Falls in May to hear arguments on
a lawsuit filed by Klamath Basin irrigators
against the federal government in the wake of
the 2001 irrigation water shutoff.
Bill Ganong, an attorney with Klamath
Water Users Association, discussed the plans
during the organization’s annual dinner Thursday
night. The hearing will be at Klamath Union High
School. Basin
residents will be able to pose questions to the
court not related to the lawsuit.
