awards dinner Oct. 10.
Twelve landowners and properties were given awards for their
efforts in stewardship and conservation.
Jesperson Farms of Swan Lake: Water and energy conservation.
Gavin Rajnus Farms of Malin: Innovative conservation methods and
conserving wildlife habitat.
Andy Hickey Ranches of Sprague River: Water quality improvement
and riparian buffer strip management.
Frank Hammerick of Bonanza: Progressive irrigation water
management and water conservation.
Thane Woodley of Lava Beds-Butte Valley RCD: Klamath Basin pump
test coordination and energy conservation technology.
Cliff Fox of NRCS Oregon: Multi-state water conservation
coordination and conservation leadership activities.
Mike Green of Bureau of Reclamation: Promotion and assistance for
no-till farming and innovative habitat through walking wetlands.
Noonan Farms: Innovative conservation land management: no-till
farming — wildlife habitat and walking wetlands.
Staunton Farms of Tulelake: Innovative conservation land
management: notill farming — wildlife habitat and walking
wetlands.
Ron Cole of U.S. Fish & Wildlife Department: Innovative land
management with walking wetlands.
Dave Mauser of U.S. Fish & Wildlife Department: Innovative
land management with walking wetlands.
