Supporters of
KBRA to hold rally at festival
Event will be at
2 p.m. in Merrill
MERRILL — Proponents of the
Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement will have a rally Saturday
during the Potato Festival, according to a press release.
Those organizing the rally a re
expected to urge voters to vote no on Measure 18-80, an advisory
measure on Klamath County’s November ballot asking voters whether
the county should stop being involved in the KBRA.
The rally will be at 2 p.m at
Carleton Farms Scale and Storage at Main Street and Hill Road in
Merrill.

Valley rancher and director of Upper Klamath Water Users
• Karl Wenner, a Klamath
Falls surgeon
• Cheri Unruh who is from a
Malin area farm family
• Don Gentry, vice chairman
of the Klamath Tribes
A “yes” vote on the measure
means the county should cease participating in the KBRA, while a
“no” vote means the county should continue to participate.
The measure is
advisory and the Klamath County Board of Commissioners are not
legally required to abide by its result.
