Theme chosen for Tulelake fair

Vital importance of water behind theme choice for 2007

Klamath Falls Herald and News

April 3, 2007

TULELAKE — “Water Flowin’‚ Keeps it Growin’‚” is the theme for the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair, Sept. 5-9 in Tulelake.

Fair board directors developed and selected the theme based upon the vital importance of water in the Klamath Basin

Dave Dillabo, the fair’s chief executive officer, said the theme will be used in developing creative displays throughout the fairgrounds and in parade entries. He said plans for the fair are moving ahead.

“The 2007 fair will again offer many of the traditional events that the public has come to know and love as well as several new ongrounds entertainment that are sure to be crowd pleasers,” he said.

Among activities will be the 4x4 Truck and Tractor Pulls, a to-be announced popular major country music artist and the popular All-Alaskan Racing Pigs.

Many new acts will debut at this year’s fair, including Humphrey’s Barnyard, a child-oriented learning interactive barnyard that has received national attention for their agricultural learning center. Other new acts will include The Wild West Show, Jeremy the Juggler, Mini Stock Car Remote Control Races and two mechanical bulls — one an adult-sized bull and a baby bull.

Dillabo said more details for the five-day event will be announced and posted on the fair’s newly redesigned Web site at www.tbvfair.com.
