Lake
elevation on track to meet target level for August

The elevation of Upper Klamath
Lake was 4,140.40 feet on Tuesday. The target elevation for Upper
Klamath Lake at the end of this month is 4,139.5 feet. The lake
level has been decreasing
at approximately 0.04-inch increments, which puts it on track to
lower to the target level. At the end of August, the target level
for the lake is 4,138.5.
The A Canal was flowing at 564
cubic feet per second on Tuesday.
The Williamson River was flowing
at a rate of 470 cubic feet per second on Wednesday, which is 85
percent of the long-term average for that date.
The National Weather Service is
reporting that since Sept. 1, Klamath Falls has received 7.11 inches
of precipitation, which is 63 percent of average.
