Mr. McDonald states: "The assessment to all landowners in the Enterprise Irrigation District is not for supplying water or a use fee; it is for operation and maintenance of the district." Mr. McDonald implies that the irrigation district is like a park district. His statement, "for example, Wiard Park, you may never use the park, but everyone is assessed for its operations."
I am assessed a fee on my taxes for parks, is everyone in the Enterprise Irrigation area assessed a fee to Enterprise Irrigation? (My neighbor across the street, does not pay this fee.)
When I pay my monthly water bill to the city of Klamath Falls, is that for the water I use or just for operations of the water division? Is your electric bill just for operation and maintenance of Pacific Power?
I find it interesting that a water district is able to charge for a service that they can't provide. Where can I buy stock in a company like this?
