As of Feb. 8, snowpack in the
Klamath Basin was 63 percent of its
historical average for the month of
February, according to the Natural
Resources Conservation Service.
Klamath Falls has
received 2.86 inches of
precipitation since Sept. 1, down
from an average of 7.52 inches for
that time period, according to the
National Weather Service’s Medford
Office.
Link River flows have been about 80
percent
below average during
the past week. The flow of the river
Feb. 8 just below Upper Klamath Lake
was 309-cubic-feet-per-second,
compared with a historical average
of 1,580-cubic-feet-per-second for
that date, according to the Bureau
of Reclamation.
