Lake drops below 4,141 feet

The elevation of Upper Klamath
Lake was 4,140.94 feet on Monday. The lake level by Sunday dropped below
4,141 feet for the first time this summer. The A Canal was flowing at
535 cubic feet per second on Monday. The Williamson River was flowing at
a rate of 486 cubic feet per second Monday, which is 82 percent of the
long term average for that date. The target elevation for Upper Klamath Lake
at the end of July is 4,139.5 feet.
The National Weather
Service is reporting that since Sept. 1, Klamath Falls has received 7.09
inches of precipitation, which is 63 percent of average.
