Irrigation district
considers power project
Good idea x 150
Yes, this little
hydro project should be
built and a 150 more
like it. That would
provide for the
hydropower necessary to
replace that which will
be torn out by the dam
removal/Klamath Basin
Restoration Agreement
implementation. Then the
Klamath Water Users
Association/Klamath
Water and Power
Authority Board could
pay for their groups’
own power increases
instead of asking
PacifiCorp to reduce the
federal project’s power
rates at the expense of
the off-Project users
and regular ratepayers.
Acting
positively
This is soooooo
refreshing. With
PacifiCorp being forced
to remove the dams, this
kind of thinking is what
will propel the Klamath
Basin for the future. It
is time to let go of all
the negative talk and
get on board.
CommonSense
What a great idea. I
am pleased to see this
sort of thinking.
Falling water is a great
source of clean,
renewable power. Much
better than building all
those ugly wind
turbines, burning coal,
or covering the earth in
solar panels. How about
we take this concept to
next level and develop
some the hydropower
resources on the Klamath
River?
