Water report: Lake level unchanged

Klamath Falls Herald and News

November 11, 2010

The elevation of Upper Klamath Lake was 4,139.12 feet on Wednesday, virtually unchanged from last week.

All Bureau of Reclamation water deliveries have ceased, and the last irrigation system, Tulelake Irrigation District, will be shut down on Monday.

There are no mandated lake levels until February, when a U.S. Fish and Wildlife biological opinion requires a minimum of 4,141.5 feet.

The Williamson River was flowing at a rate of 648 cubic feet per second on Wednesday, which is 9 percent lower than the long-term average for the date.

The National Weather Service is reporting that since Sept. 1, Klamath Falls has received 2.03 inches of precipitation, which is 10 percent higher than the historical norm.
