Weekly water update: Lake level
decreasing

The elevation
of Upper Klamath Lake was 4,141.15 feet on Tuesday. The lake level
has been decreasing incrementally since June 15, when the water
level peaked at 4,141.57 feet.
The A Canal was flowing at 448
cubic feet per second on Tuesday.
The Williamson River was flowing
at a rate of 531 cubic feet per second on Tuesday, which is 83
percent of the long-term average for that date.
The target elevation for Upper
Klamath Lake at the end of July is 4,139.50 feet.
The National Weather Service is
reporting that since Sept. 1,
Klamath Falls has received 6.9 inches of precipitation, which is 62
percent of average. Crater Lake is reported to be at 97 percent of
average.
