Weekly water update: Lake level decreasing

   The elevation of Upp er Klamath Lake was 4,141.49 feet on Wednesday. The lake level is gradually decreasing since a June 15 peak of 4,141.57 feet.

 

   The lake reached that peak after starting the month at one-third of a foot lower. The A   Canal was flowing at 432 cubic feet per second on Wednesday.

 

   The Williamson River was flowing at a rate of 758 cubic feet per second on Wednesday, which is 94 percent of the longterm average for that date.

 

   The target elevation for Upper Klamath Lake at the end of June is 4,140.60 feet.

 

   The National Weather Service is reporting that since Oct. 1, Klamath Falls has received 6.59 inches of precipitation, which is 56 percent of average. It is reporting that Crater Lake is at 97 percent of average.
