What Will Be The Next GREAT GREEN SCAM?

Scams come and scams go, but all scams have some elements in common.

Right now, the politicians’ and environmentalists’ Great Green Scam is
CLIMATE CHANGE, specifically, Global Warming, or is it Global Cooling, or
maybe who knows what it is as the impending catastrophe keeps morphing to
feed the proclaimed fear of the day?

As noted in my novel THE GREEN WAR CHRONICLES, Climate Change hysteria will
grow, peak, and decline with time, just as all scams do, and must at some
future date be retired and replaced with the NEXT GREAT GREEN SCAM if the
populace is to remain sufficiently edgy and intimidated to continue
voluntarily sending money to politicians and GAGs (Green Advocacy Groups)
profiting from the phony global ‘emergency.’

The Next Great Green Scam must continue the pattern of attacking society’s
productive people and organizations and of punishing achievement to the
maximum degree possible.

Our Standard of Living must be slashed.

Goods and services must become far costlier.

Personal freedom and Constitutionally guaranteed Rights must be replaced
with Government control.

Money and resources must be reallocated away from productive uses that
elevate civilization, and toward useless and wasteful endeavors that enrich
GAGs, lawyers, United Nations bureaucrats, and politicians, and that create
nothing of value.

The new Scam must address a natural condition that cannot be fixed or
altered, such as Climate Change, and that can be blamed on human activity.

My vote for the Next Great Green Scam candidate is Reversal of the Earth’s
Magnetic Field.

The magnetic field surrounding Earth is a shield against deadly charged
particles that come from our Sun and rain down upon our atmosphere.
Northern Lights result from the interaction of those charged particles with
our atmosphere at very high altitude.

Were there no magnetic field, many of the charged particles would swarm down
through our atmosphere and reach ground level where people, plants and
animals live. Cancer and mutation rates would shoot up. Many people and
other life forms might sicken and die. THE CHILDREN would suffer.

Earth’s magnetic field protects life forms from the deadly barrage of
charged particles from space by deflecting most of the charged particles
around the Earth. But Earth’s magnetic field changes, just as climate
changes, and at intervals the magnetic field reverses, swapping north for
south and causing everyone’s compass to point backward.

To change from a north magnetic field at the North Pole to a south magnetic
field at the North Pole, there is a period of time during which Earth’s
magnetic field collapses to zero before reemerging at opposite polarity.
That zero-field condition is fast approaching and could happen within a few
hundred years, or, about as fast as the GAGs currently predict global
catastrophe from Climate Change.

It doesn’t matter that global magnetic field reversal takes place on a more
or less regular basis and has been doing so throughout geologic history,
just as climate undergoes frequent changes. Life may be stressed a bit
during field reversal but will survive, as always.

If magnetic field reversal were universally deadly, all life would have been
wiped out when life first appeared and during every subsequent field
reversal thereafter. Life wasn’t wiped out. Life won’t be wiped out by the
coming field reversal. But magnetic field reversal an excellent foundation
on which to build the Next Great Green Scam.

Magnetic field reversal can be blamed on the generation and use of
electricity, much as Climate Change is blamed on the burning of fossil fuels
that contain carbon (gasoline, diesel oil, jet fuel, natural gas, coal,
etc.)

The plan would be, begin by blaming Magnetic Pollution from all those nasty,
eeee-vil electrical generating stations that create intense alternating
magnetic fields in the generators and transformers that supply electricity.
Those intense ARTIFICIAL, MAN-MADE, alternating magnetic fields leak out of
the electrical equipment and locally shake apart Earth’s NATURAL magnetic
field, causing the natural field to become fragmented and weakened. The net
effect of all electrical generating stations worldwide is creation of
miles-wide zones of magnetic devastation that, over time, merge, bore
downward into the core of the Earth, and do great damage to Earth’s NATURAL
magnetic field that protects us from deadly space rays.

Worse yet, all those thousands of miles of high voltage transmission lines
and transformers spanning the global landmass create their own huge
ARTIFICIAL, MAN-MADE magnetic fields that further damage Earth’s precious
NATURAL magnetic field that shields life at the surface from deadly space
rays that cause cancer. The combined artificial magnetic field from the
transmission lines is attracting iron asteroids far out in space that one
day will slam into Earth and cause great destruction.

Finally, at the household consumer end, millions upon millions of light
bulbs, toasters, televisions, microwave ovens, telephones, computers,
washing machines and other appliances continue the assault on Earth’s
FRAGILE magnetic field, and at the industrial consumer end the damage is
made complete by tens of millions of electric motors, heaters, radios,
lights, fans, rock crushers, assembly lines and other users of electricity.

The great environmentalist prophet Arth N. Balance will claim that the
Earth’s magnetic field cannot reverse unless the entire Earth flips over.
Everyone will spin off into Space. Great walls of ocean water will wash
over entire continents as Earth rolls over. Polar glaciers will crash onto
Arizona. All living things will die. Civilization will terminate.
Volcanoes will sprout up on every street corner. Earth’s crust will slip
around over the molten interior layers and the whole planet will break apart
and become a mess of white-hot space rocks. People and their dogs will end
up as fossils in meteors flying through distant galaxies.

Never mind that the same principle of pole reversal is found in electric
motors running on alternating current and you don’t see a motor running on
60-cycles a.c. flipping end-for-end sixty times each second. No, the motor
just sits there while the electric current inside flips back and forth and
makes the motor shaft turn.

Do you see the huge potential?

If you can convince people that all life on earth, especially THE CHILDREN,
will soon be doomed by the human race’s greedy and heavy-handed electrical
interference that is destroying Earth’s NATURAL magnetic field, then you can
tap into enormous floods of government and foundation grant money to study
how the fix the problem.

Best of all, you can tax, then restrict, and then eliminate, the use of
electrical devices in industrialized nations. Of course, as with the Kyoto
Treaty concerning burning of fuels that create carbon dioxide ‘greenhouse
gas,’ the rest of the world’s nations would be exempt from the ban on
electricity use. Using more than your United Nations World Government
globally approved allotment of electricity is racist and homophobic.

Without fuel forbidden by the Kyoto Treaty, and without electrical power,
the world’s mighty industrial nations will grind to a halt and fall quickly
into poverty.

What a deal! Government grants. Political power. Radical GAGs and United
Nations bureaucrats running the world. And you never have to prove the
basic claim that commercial electricity is to blame or that global magnetic
pole reversal really is a crisis.

There’s a BONUS. When field reversal passes the zero-point and Earth’s
magnetic field begins naturally rebuilding, your descendents can claim
credit for Saving The Earth and get rich selling new magnetic pointers for
compasses.
