As I see it -

The finer things in life

The western producers; loggers, cattlemen, farmers, fishermen, etc,
have been through a lot the last few decades.

They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

If that is true, they must be a tough lot.  They are, for sure, but
they're also human.

Most don't have the opportunity to just go through life, do their job
and take it easy.  Many don't get the opportunity to worry about the
finer things in life, unless you count eating and paying the bills
the finer things in life.

All of those occupations have always had to deal with Mother Nature
as part of the job description.

Rain, lack of rain, wind, snow, lack of snow, heat, cold, you name it
and it was affecting someone's life.  It's just the way it is, and
you get used to it.

Anymore, there are a number of other "disasters" which affect our
daily lives, which must be dealt with on a daily basis.

I of course am talking about the people who think they know better
than you how you need to run your lives.

They seem to be everywhere.  Scurrying out from under rocks and trash
whenever they think no one is looking, filing some lawsuit or making
some idiotic law telling you what you may or may not do.

I don't know about you, but I'm plum sick of them.  I find myself
just not thinking of them much of the time in a weird sense of
denial, as if not thinking about them will make them go away.
I'm sorry to say it won't.  Every day someone is working hard to deny
you your rights as an American.

I don't know how to delicately say this, but if you don't understand
what I'm saying, you're in denial also.

The far left is taking away your rights at an alarming rate.  The far
right is doing the same thing, but it doesn't stop there.  The near
left, the near right and the far and near middle is also against you.
How many laws do we need and when will it all stop?

There are so many laws right now that no one human on earth could
know them all.

I think the problem could be one of job description.  People are
elected to the position of lawmaker.  That's all well and good, but
what if we don't need any more laws?

I propose a new branch of the legislature called law -unmakers.
Their sole purpose is to just vote out asinine laws.

Just think of the potential.  Some bill gets voted through and within
fifteen minutes the unmakers vote and say no, that's stupid, it's no
longer a law.  In their spare time they could begin working through
the thousands of stupid laws already on the books.

Maybe then people could get back to work and try and make a living
and worry about their future.  You know, the finer things in life.
