Come enjoy a full dinner accompanied by live acoustic music, and a multi-media presentation about last year’s trip to

All of the proceeds from this event will support trips to PacifiCorp headquarters in
Portland , Oregon and to Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway’s shareholders meeting in Omaha , for stake-holders in the Klamath Crisis to make their voices heard!

WHY
PORTLAND AND OMAHA ?

In the not too distant past, the Klamath River was a free-flowing river with clean water and world class runs of Pacific salmon. Today, a series of dams owned and operated by PacifiCorp, has decimated salmon runs and polluted the river with toxic algae. PacifiCorp, is owned by corporate giant Berkshire Hathaway. Berkshire Hathaway's majority stockholder Warren Buffett, also known as the Oracle of Omaha remains second richest billionaire in the world.

This spring local Indian Tribes, fishermen, concerned river residents and local environmental groups will travel to PacifiCorp’s headquarters in
Portland , Oregon and Omaha , Nebraska for Berkshire-Hathaway's annual shareholders meetings. We will hold PacifiCorp and Buffett accountable for their involvement in the perpetual destruction of habitat, water quality and local economies and to demand the removal of the Klamath dams.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON THE MOVEMENT TO UN-DAM THE KLAMATH:

Last year a group of delegates representing Klamath River stake-holders traveled to Omaha to appeal to the "philanthropist" in Buffett. Despite these attempts to invite him to be pro-active in the Klamath River issues, he defied all collaborative options, and disregarded Tribes and fishermen’s attempts at dialogue. His extreme actions led Forbes magazine and other national publications to publicly question his integrity in philanthropy.

Warren Buffett's and PacifiCorp’s actions contradict the public perception that Buffett and his partner, Bill Gates, fight poverty ad decease through their philanthropy in developing nations.

This spring we will head back to Buffett's meeting, nicknamed the Woodstock of Capitalism, and to PacifiCorp’s offices to let the world know that one year later the Klamath is more toxic then ever, and the communities that depend on it are even more prone to poverty, primarily due to PacifiCorp's dams.
