Bait and switch in the federal
government is apparently not illegal,
and can be done with absolute impunity.
Last year, I wrote about the Clean Water
Act modifications which were introduced
in Congress. It would have deleted the
notion of "navigable" from the Clean
Water Act, such that the federal
regulators would have control over all
water in the nation. Imagine the EPA and
Army Corp of Engineers having control
over your ditch and lawn sprinklers.
Such a change in the law would create
the greatest water grabbing gestapo
organization ever imagined.
Folks across the country freaked at the
removal of the word "navigable" - even
Democrats in Congress feared a backlash
from their constituents.
The bottom line came down to needing to
keep the word "navigable" in the actual
language of the law, to appease voters
across the country.
The new congress did exactly that.
They left "navigable" in the wording of
the newly reintroduced Clean Water
Restoration Act. Woosh. What a relief.
But, wait.
They are now defining "navigable" as all
waters in the United States.
The congress is giving you a classic
bait and switch.
The only difference between what they
are doing and the owner of the hardware
store, is if he would try to do such, is
the hardware store owner would be carted
off to prison and the members of
Congress will continue to get a pay
check.
So, it's up to us to let Congress know
that we see through what they are up to
and we intend to do everything within
our legal power to take their pay check
away if they consider this bait and
switch.
By controlling all water in the nation,
the feds are creating absolute control
of all land use in the nation - as all
land use is ultimately tied to water.
Furthermore, how do you think the Obama
administration will handle an all
encompassing control of all water and
property rights.
You got it. I need not go further.
We must act and we must act now.
