Pray for God's
intersession

To the Editor:
The past two weeks I was privileged to participate
in two unheralded events in our beautiful Scott
Valley.
The first was a "Prayer walk" with
other Christians. This is a valley wide event that
will take place one Sunday per month, simply walking
and praying over Scott Valley for redemption of sin
past and present and for special blessings that
Scott Valley be healed and be known as a healing
place. What a comfort to walk with other Christians
and to call out to God to forgive and to bless all
people and the land of Scott Valley. Quiet and
simple - yet very empowering. With the Lord at our
side whom then shall we fear?
The next weekend I participated in a
traditional cattle drive, for about eight miles and
right through the town of Fort Jones. As we passed
through the town and the CHP officer cleared the
trail of traffic, people in their cars stopped to
look and take pictures of this "parade of cattle and
mounted horsemen/women." Each person who observed
had wide grins on their faces and waved to stopped
to get a picture of this "old west" scene. Our
heritage on parade - a link to the past - a sense of
rural America, that speaks to the heart.
Imagine these two events taken away -
all people cast off the land and out of rural
American communities, no more cattle drivers or
farms and ranches to pass the baton of heritage to
our children, no more small towns, no small
business. How about a country with no God at the
helm, no more Christians allowed to pray and ask for
God's intersession? When we are herded into the
cities, to be controlled and brainwashed, how will
our hearts survive? How will our eyes see and our
hands feel the beauty that is God's creation that
stirs our souls to feel His presence and to catch a
glimpse of true freedom? What about our children and
grandchildren, what will a life without this
heritage be like for them? What prompted the smiles
of people watching the cattle drive and what
prompted the words of heartfelt prayers? It is
America - the American spirit - the America we all
know and so dearly love. It is freedom - that is
America - America who was founded on Christian
principles and for all men to be free!
Men and women have died to preserve
this freedom, immigrants have clamored to reach our
shores, we are the United States of America. Let us
all begin now to stand together, to unite in prayer
and spirit and to take our country back!
Please vote with consciousness and
conviction!
Please unit on DFG/ITP and just say "NO!"
Please pray for God's intersession to save our great
nation, America the Beautiful!
