This version of the SOSA Hotline features a recent Eugene Register Guard
editorial where clearly, the newspaper took the arguments of the Sierra Club,
NRDC, Earth Justice and others -- and utilized their talking points as fact.
This is a great example of the rhetoric we can expect to be printed as our
efforts move forward.

The Register Guard was wrong for doing this and the campaign immediately
responded with the facts. This response was also sent to other newspapers in
Oregon. The campaign is prepared to respond to similar editorials nation
wide, both positive and negative, to highlight the facts behind this legislative
effort.

Feel free to use this document for your own arguments, presentations,
rebuttals, etc. It is our hope that this can be a useful example of the
opposition’s rhetoric and tool to clarify reality.
