Yreka, Calif. — I would like to say to Mr. Know-it-all from Mount Shasta (“Yes on G: Reasoned analysis supports it,’ by guest columnist Phil Dietrich, Oct. 25, 2010), he has nothing to gain or lose if they are removed, so it is really none of his business if the dams are removed. I would like to have him build a home on the river. Because without the dams, there would be no flood control.

 

As far as the farmers in the Klamath Basin are concerned, I heard that when they had to give up their water for the fish they would be compensated for their losses.
