Missing the Mark

June 6, 2008

The June 6 Capital Press Editorial Sessions need more farmers erred by admonishing farmers for not attending the recent Sacramento "listening session." Has anyone noticed it's growing season? Farmers have a lot to do this time of year besides go to a meeting -- expected to LISTEN to canned sales pitches of those PAID to attend the meeting -- and maybe (not guaranteed) get to speak.

With ink long-dry on plans for farmers and their property, taking precious time from one's livelihood to go and hear a spiel from someone that may not have your best interests in mind, is unproductive, inefficient and a waste of time and gas money.

Hit the mark by appreciating American farmers, outstanding in their fields, growing American Food for American Dinner Tables! Thank an American Farmer B 4 U Eat today!
