The Yurok Election Board has officially certified the results of the Nov. 17 run-off election.

In the East District, Lyle L. McKinnon, the incumbent, received 127 votes, or 56.95 percent and Sasha Pearl LeMieux received 96 votes, or 43.05 percent.

 

In the South District, Bonnie (Hoddy) Bacon Green received 159 votes, or 51.96 percent, and Allen McCloskey Jr. received 147 votes, or 48.04 percent.

 

There were no challenges on any of the Tribal Council positions for the run-off election. The installation ceremony for McKinnon and Green will be held at the next regularly scheduled council meeting on Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. in Klamath.
